At Arinui, we are committed to ensuring our offering continues to grow and accommodate the needs of our users. We appreciate every school, kura, centre or organisation is different and a ‘one-size fits all’ tool won't always work. With six versions of Arinui to choose from (including the incredible flexibility of a customised version), we are confident that Arinui will provide you with exactly what you need to fit your individual setting and assist with your professional growth and learning journey.
CUSTOM
Arinui is excited to offer kura, schools and centres the flexibility to create a customised Arinui dashboard specifically for your individual setting. Arinui Custom enables you to select preferred modules from the existing versions of Arinui to combine and create a new dashboard, or develop modules with your own content inside the platform itself.* Contact us to find out more.

CLASSIC
Arinui Classic
is the originally developed version of Arinui. Classic includes options for types of teaching and leadership inquiries and is split into Key Reflective Processes and Supplementary Reflections. Arinui Classic is robust, pedagogically sound and built to develop evaluative capacity.
WAKA
Arinui Waka
was developed in 2019 and uses tenets of Classic, but with fewer prompts and consolidated options. Waka has a more relaxed vernacular than Classic and includes “lenses” such as Learner Agency and Tapasā to help with decisions, change and challenges.
CLASSIC ECE
Arinui Classic ECE has been specifically designed for early learning contexts. Classic ECE includes options for types of teaching and leadership inquiries and is split into Key Reflective Processes and Supplementary Reflections. WAKA ECE

TE REO

Teachers lead their own professional growth cycle so that reflection becomes part and parcel of their professional practice. By inquiring into teaching and leadership practice, it is easy for educators to evaluate the impact that they are having and track this back to the Standards for the Teaching Profession.
When schools, centres, and educational organisations use Arinui, they build their evaluative capability. Arinui supports educators to know the impact of their practice and inquire into areas of teaching or leadership in order to make the most significant impact for their learners.
How is it different from other online professional growth cycle tools?
Arinui is more than just gathering together a portfolio of evidence. Philosophically it is in fact very different from that. Arinui is designed to be a tool more focused on improving rather than proving. It emphasises a focus on student learning, teaching and leading as inquiry, and active reflection.
The reflective questions throughout Arinui are designed to support this evaluative process. Only at the end of this process are teachers asked to consider how the Standards for the Teaching Profession have been met by this process and evidence. This is very different to a compliance driven process where you try and think what evidence you could gather against each of the standards in isolation.
